Thanks to Squeeky for the heads up...
Rollingstone.com 5/28/08
"Nearly four years after their break-up, the four members of Phish may have some unfinished business together. In an interview with Rolling Stone last week, Trey Anastasio didn’t exactly say the band has talked about a reunion, but he did drop some heavy hints. “When Phish broke up, I made some comment about how I’m not gonna go around playing ‘You Enjoy Myself’ for the rest of my life,” Anastasio said with a laugh. “And it’s so funny because Fish and Mike and Page have been talking to each other a lot lately and now — it’s not that I can’t believe that I said that, but its symbolic of how much I lost my mind or how much I lost my bearings or something. Because at this point in time I would give my left nut to play that song five times in a row every day until I die. I certainly thought about that while I was in jail.”
Consider the seed planted...

Daft Punk is in the Studio and Busy P is stepping down as their manager via URB:
Ed Banger records head Pedro Winters has stepped down from managing Daft Punk to concentrate on the label and his own musical career as Busy P. But that didn't stop him from dropping a serious robot bomb on Aussie electronic site InTheMix.
"The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment,” Winters revealed to ITM. “And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment."

So I just stumbled across these videos on my daily, find new cool shit to show my friends on my stupid blog and I found this. Holy fucking shit. This is seriously one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Justice X 28 Weeks Later. I guess the guys over at Glenjamn were watching the terrific zombie movie 28 Weeks Later and decided to play some music while watching the movie. Next thing they know, they discover that Justice sychs pretty PERFECTLY to some scenes in the movie. I have included them below and they will do nothing short of blow your mind. This when someone was like...hmm I like Chocolate, I like Milk let's put those two together. They just struck stoner gold. Amazing (slow clap....slow clap...slow clap).

The 10th Annual Transworld SKATEboarding awards are being held in Hollywood on June 13th. The nominations for awards have been announced. The most interesting of which are the following:
BEST VIDEO
Habitat, Inhabitants
Lakai, Fully Flared
Osiris, Feed The Need
BEST STREET
Stefan Janoski
Guy Mariano
Andrew Reynolds
TWS READERS' CHOICE
Mike Mo Capaldi
Marc Johnson
Guy Mariano
I would like to make an official Dreamtard vote for Mikey Mo Capaldi for the TWS Reader's Choice Skateboarder of the Year. Not only did he break the world record for most 360 flips in a minute, but his part in Fullly Flared is one of my favorite video parts of all time. In my humble opinion, what separates a good skater from a great skater isn't their ability to just land ridiculous never-before-seen tricks, but their ability to land them with such ease and style that you feel like quitting skateboarding altogether. Mikey Mo makes me feel that way when I watch his part in Fully Flared... Enjoy:

Love Motel is from Geneva. Dreamtard is from New York City. Listen to Love Motel. Read dreamtard. If you do both things at the same time, you could, just maybe, end up in a Love Motel WITH dreamtard. I don't do a to m, just a. This is starting to sound like a craigslist ad. Is that a bad thing?
Anyway, Love Motel is good. Here are some of their tracks remixed. I have listened to a number of their remixes and these were, for me, the stand outs.
Love Motel - Cosmic Love (Grum Remix)
Love Motel - DIAL GOD USA (BE TRASH REMIXX)
Love Motel - Je Pleure (Noise Maker Remix)
I am a big fan of the Grum remix. I am a big Grum supporter, these guys do a great job. Anyway, hopefully we will be seeing a lot more from both Love Motel and Grum in the near future. Till then, check out the above tracks....fine I will do a to m.

Another amazing find by Venty. This has to be one of the most ridiculous ideas for a website of all time.
Here's the concept: You send them $10, they send you...wait for it...something.
From Somethingstore.com:
"Your Something May Be Anything
It may be something you need, something you want or something you desire.
Yours may be a cool gadget, rare book, table game, handmade necklace, reverse clock, box of gourmet chocolates, set of shiny shower curtains, popular video game, big-box retailer gift card, the latest version of a software, a set of kitchen knives, a pair of designer jeans, garden tool, kitchen appliance, unique home decor item, electronic equipment, magazine subscription, office supply item, or ...
Your something will most likely be brand new, though it may also be refurbished or antique."
A REVERSE CLOCK (what the hell is that?)!!! A SET (not just one) of Shiney Shower Curtains?!?! A $10 VIDEO GAME!! GARDEN TOOLS FOR MY APARTMENT!!! A (picture of a) PAIR OF DESIGNER JEANS!! Oh joy!
Why on earth would anyone ever do this?? This site is basically asking you to pay $10 for some guy to probably reach into a random grab bag of (hopefully stolen...please say stolen) crap in his garage, to then make it YOUR unwanted crap. YOU CAN'T EVEN PICK WHAT CRAP YOU WANT!! I'm going to start a competing spin-off business called Buymyrandomgarbagefor9dollars.com.
"I'm actually having a debate with myself right now over whether or not to do it, simply because I think I'll be addicted to the site once I start.
I guess now we can officially put a price on anxiousness: $10." - Venty.

As many of you know last Friday dreamtard headed to the Panik, party from Paris at the Tribeca Grand. First, it was most certainly a party from Paris, the fact that I only speak pathetic (see: no) French was even more entertaining. Setting that aside, the music was awesome, the place was really moving when we got there and there was most certainly a line. In most situations this would be really lame and I would be complaining about how the people working the list sucked at life and were pretentious douche bags. This however, was not the case. Lots of respect to the people over at Tribeca Grand. It was run well, they gave me free Grolsch till I had to pee in there super future awesome time bathrooms, and the people who worked the list/door/event were nice people. Thumbs up. I will be back. SebastiAn was chilling around the venue/hotel the entire time, mostly smoking cigarettes and waiting to blow my mind out my ears. Though I do love SebastiAn the other acts really shined as well. Overall a great time. I partied pretty hard and left feeling like a drunk crepe.

I just bought the first season of this show on DVD...just amazing. Flight of the Conchords just released a new album that features all the songs from Season 1 of the show. Here's a new video of the song "Ladies of the World". Kinda makes me want to go to a Roller Disco in Central Park.

Thanks Venty for this one...
"This kid represents everything that is so wrong with the world but so right with the internet." - Venty
"I wanna' do hoodrat stuff fo' my friends."
**UPDATE** - Straight from Senior Dreamtard correspondent Dorothy comes an update in the life of this hilarious little trouble-maker. "Latarian Milton was taken in for a mental health evaluation after he allegedly beat down his grandma inside a Wal-Mart in South Florida over some chicken wings."
When asked why he did such a terrible thing to his grandmother, seven-year-old Latarian responded, "I wan' hit my gramma cause it's fun. It's funna do bad things... like hittin' grammas for some chicken."

Cut Copy's show at Studio B this past week got a rave review from a friend of mine who was in attendance. My iPod is broken so I haven't listened to much of their album, but people I know and trust like them, so I can safely say I like the idea of Cut Copy. Black Kids, on the other hand, left lots of people scratching their heads and wondering if the indie hype machine has become self-aware like some Matrix-esque villainous mainframe and will eventually enslave us all, force-feeding us bad imitations of sounds we recognize from the 80's. In short, the report from the field says these guys can't back it up from up on a stage. Speaking of sounds we recognize from the 80's, Brooklyn's Mobius Band, also on this tour apparently, do a pretty darn good imitation. They are onto some Phil Collins shit, and you and I both know you love Phil Collins.
Check out the show tomorrow night at Pure if you are down Philly way.
