Have you guys seen this real life clip of the guy that was trapped in an elevator in the McGraw Hill building (Murph's building) for 41 hours??? The Clip is HERE if you haven't.
Check out this parody video of what that would have been like...with diarrhea.

Nicholas Cage HATES Women

I may have posted this before, but on a rainy day, some unintentional comedy never hurts. Enjoy this montage of Nicholas Cage assaulting unsuspecting females. This is even funnier if you have not seen this film and the montage is totally context-free.

My Morning Jacket, "Evil Urges"

Sometimes I forget about My Morning Jacket. Then they put out a new album and become my favorite band once again for about six months. This is the new single and first track from their forthcoming album "Evil Urges", which is out June 10 on ATO Records. I have heard the album, and if you think this track is a little weird, with the Prince-esque falsetto vocals pushed WAY out into the front of the mix like Jim James is leading his compatriots in a Mighty Ducks style "flying v", you're going to be blown away by the rest of the songs. I would call the production on the album "decadent" and/or "saucy", like dark chocolate or aged gouda with a side of sexy time. The album is overflowing with the kind of musical ideas that sometimes pop into my mind when I am really, really (insert drug reference here) and I just think "How could I possibly explain that to somebody?" Only My Morning Jacket took those ideas and laid them to tape. Basically, there is plenty more Prince, Tom Waits, Hall & Oates, etc. where this came from. It's almost like My Morning Jacket made a Ween album. Almost...
My Morning Jacket have planned "An Evening with My Morning Jacket" for June 20th at Radio City Music Hall, and it's all sold out.

Penis theft panic hits city...
Thanks Brown for this article...this is totally raddichio. Full link HERE
By Joe Bavier
KINSHASA (Reuters) - Police in Congo have arrested 13 suspected sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men's penises after a wave of panic and attempted lynchings triggered by the alleged witchcraft.
Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur.
Rumors of penis theft began circulating last week in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo's sprawling capital of some 8 million inhabitants. They quickly dominated radio call-in shows, with listeners advised to beware of fellow passengers in communal taxis wearing gold rings.
Purported victims, 14 of whom were also detained by police, claimed that sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear, in what some residents said was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure.
"You just have to be accused of that, and people come after you. We've had a number of attempted lynchings. ... You see them covered in marks after being beaten," Kinshasa's police chief, Jean-Dieudonne Oleko, told Reuters on Tuesday.
Police arrested the accused sorcerers and their victims in an effort to avoid the sort of bloodshed seen in Ghana a decade ago, when 12 suspected penis snatchers were beaten to death by angry mobs. The 27 men have since been released.
"I'm tempted to say it's one huge joke," Oleko said.
"But when you try to tell the victims that their penises are still there, they tell you that it's become tiny or that they've become impotent. To that I tell them, 'How do you know if you haven't gone home and tried it'," he said.
Some Kinshasa residents accuse a separatist sect from nearby Bas-Congo province of being behind the witchcraft in revenge for a recent government crackdown on its members.
"It's real. Just yesterday here, there was a man who was a victim. We saw. What was left was tiny," said 29-year-old Alain Kalala, who sells phone credits near a Kinshasa police station.

King of Spring footage
So the King of Spring Contest took place last Saturday (was moved from Sunday) and appears to have been a raging sucess. I, unfortunately, missed the event, but enjoyed the footage from it. Congrats to Billy Rohan for sucessfully putting this comp together....this looked like fun.
The song in this video is pretty amazing too.

Bill Burr hates Philly
Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania yesterday, so I thought that would be a perfect opportunity to remind everyone how much Pennsylvania (particularly Philly) sucks.
The following is a clip from Opie and Anthony's traveling virus. Comedian Bill Burr took the stage in Philly, to do his normal set, and was instantaneously boo'd by the crowd. So he abandoned his set, and did a full 11 minute, IMPROV set, about how much he hates Philly and people from Philly. The video/sound quality is unfortunately somewhat poor...but this is true stand-up comedic genius.

Minitel Rose - Alone in the Future Mix

Minitel Rose has a mix out titled Alone in the Future. I found this via Valerie. This shit is from the future. Minitel Rose selects some great tracks. Anything that starts off with Alan Braxe and Fred Falke for their second song is OK in my book. This is the kinda music you listen to and say "where we are going...we don't need roads." Enjoy.

All Grown Up
I'm heading over to Kenny's Castaway tonight with my "friend" to see his buddies band All Grown Up. These 5 guys hail out of Long Island, NY, and I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because they have a song called "Patti Mayonaise Doug Funnie", and well, that's just an indisputable solid name for a song. They're songs are pretty money too. I foresee a lot of headbanging. Check 'em out if your in town, or call me if you feel like going.
Check out this Footy, and check out their MySpace Page to get a feel of what you're in for. Show starts at 10pm.

Rodney Mullen
I just got this video sent to me in an email from a co-worker who said, "Yo, have you ever seen this guy? He's amazing! Who is he?"
This is a video of Rodney Mullen, who is a certifiable God on Earth in the world of skateboarding. He invented nearly every single trick in skateboarding, most notably the flatgound ollie. I would even go so far as to say his contribution to skateboarding surpasses any other athletes contribution to their respective sport. Rodney Mullen is to skateboarding as Takeru Kobayashi is to competitive hot dog eating in 2001.....only better. Beat THAT.
Check out this amazing footage, but beware. I, personally had to turn the sound off, because the song in this video makes me want to slice open my scrotum sack with a poorly manufactured Snap Bracelet...but I guess it's cool if you like it.
Now check out THIS God on Earth.
"Remember Kids, if you're walking home and you see downed power lines... Eat a lot of hot dogs really fast."

Xavier De Rosnay - Le Royale

So Saturday night myself and couple friends headed over to Le Royale to give them another shot and see if Xavier De Rosnay could show us a good time. Le Royale, the staff, and the people at GBH could not have been any cooler. It was no where near as crowded and annoying as it had been for Busy P. The experience itself was much more fun. Xavier's set however, was great, but very predictable. I wanted something different and maybe just a little more out of the guy, how many times can I hear the Phantom II (Soulwax Mix). It just seemed a little tired, the only highlights for me were at the end when he threw in some new tracks, some classics, and some rock and really surprised people and had fun with it. Most of the tracks however, were just sort of expected even if they were new. It felt like he was just going through the motions. Don't get me wrong, it was still fun but I think Busy P had a better set when he played there last time. Alex English was terrific as always at getting the party started. I was only able to see about half of his set but it was fun and he got people excited for the night which is always needed. Happy Birthday by the way, again. So that's pretty much all I want to write about that. If Busy P's set last time was an A, which it was, Xaviers was a B/B- and GBH gets an A+ for the total turn around from last time. I will be back to Le Royale for sure.

So you like dance music huh 'gate?

A little fucking pumpkin pie hair cutted idiot who smells like ass all the time, told me that this weekend at a nameless liberal arts college some people were seriously getting down to everyones favorite Kanye DJ A-Trak and his mix CD "Dirty South Dance."
Mixes are really great, if they are done well. I think the reason people like "Dirty South Dance" is because it's familiar and there are tracks in there that people recognize. So, with that said, here are two great mixes with tracks you don't recognize.
I will post DSD (that's cool blog talk for Dirty South Dance) later as well as a discussion regarding Xavier De Rosnay's set at Le Royale, I have mixed emotions. Till then.
